One Small Life: The Blank Page
http://onesmalllifeblog.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-blank-page.html
Thursday, April 9, 2015. Last week I listened to a podcast of The Conversation Hour. In which Jon Faine was talking with Rachel Power. About the book Motherhood and Creativity: The Divided Heart. And there was a moment that really resonated with me. It was a good conversation, interesting, inspiring but there was a singular moment that really punched me in my heart. Rachel Power said this:. Unfortunately my lessons have come back to front. I'm learning it's not so much being a Mother that impacts on ...

A Muse Abroad: Restarting the creative juices
http://amuseabroad.blogspot.com/2014/11/restarting-creative-juices.html
Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Restarting the creative juices. So I started with that. The fabric is Liberty of London tana lawn. If you don't sew, you might not know that this fabric is the stuff of heaven. It is gorgeous to the touch, reminiscent of silk, but is cotton. The prints range from traditional to modern, and I've wanted to work with it for years. The hefty price tag left me afraid to cut it. What if I did something wrong? It would be wasted! The pattern is Oliver S class picnic blouse. In a dre...

unwritten, untitled: Yours Truly
http://unwritten-untitled.blogspot.com/p/yours-truly.html
Why untitled, unwritten? I once labeled everything before it was written, until I found it kept too many words away. Now I am leaving the unwritten untitled, until it grows into a name. I love stories. I write little bits of mine here, just every now and then. Thanks for stopping by. In college and for a semester of graduate school. I'm from Wisconsin. I've lived in Kentucky most of my life, though, so you only hear the Milwaukee in me when I'm very, very tired. You can follow me on instagram.

A Muse Abroad: Frozen yogurt banana pops
http://amuseabroad.blogspot.com/2011/11/frozen-yogurt-banana-pops.html
Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Frozen yogurt banana pops. With temperatures soaring to 35C in the shade (from 15C at daybreak), I needed a nourishing, cooling snack for those pesky after school hours. These banana pops were just the ticket! They are bananas dipped in Greek yogurt with a touch of honey, rolled in sprinkles and frozen as popsicles. I had made these with peanut butter and/or chocolate before, but not the yogurt. Delicious! For sharing this treat. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). With temper...

http://amuseabroad.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 12, 2014. Have a fabulous weekend! The dust is settling on the new school year. What a whirlwind as we got going last week! School started last Wednesday, and then we had a birthday party on Sunday- a secret agent birthday party for a very special 9 year old girl. The party was ridiculously fun! I hope to share more about it soon, and I'm particularly hoping my computer and camera will agree to talk with each other again. For your weekend fun, I'd love to share…. It's a website that off...

A Muse Abroad: A fresh journey
http://amuseabroad.blogspot.com/2014/11/today-i-spent-nearly-all-of-sunlight.html
Thursday, November 13, 2014. Today I spent nearly all of the sunlight hours (such as they were) in the car. After the morning school run, I hastily packed a bag (greatly worrying the cat), tossed things in the car and headed out of town. For the next three days, I will be attending a writer's retreat at the Highlights Foundation. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Like to follow me via email? Let's talk (with kids! Rainbow cupcakes and bead bowls. S'mores from the oven. With te...

Exploding Doughnut: Vacuuming on Valentine's Day.
http://www.explodingdoughnut.com/2015/02/vacuuming-on-valentines-day.html
Escaping dead-end jobs.creating a life in art - by Dean Grey. Saturday, February 14, 2015. Vacuuming on Valentine's Day. I asked several of my coworkers what their plans were for Valentine's Day. All of them said spending the day with their boyfriend/girlfriend. When they asked me in return, I replied, "Vacuuming at home.". Sadly, that's the truth. Even though Valentine's Day can be hard for those of us who are single, I'm still very happy for the people who do. Have someone to love and be in love with.

A Muse Abroad: Monuments to learning
http://amuseabroad.blogspot.com/2014/11/monuments-to-learning.html
Thursday, November 6, 2014. Felicia of The Craft Sessions. Recently wrote a post. About ripping out a (beautiful) cardigan she had knitted years before simply because she recognised the inherent waste of that yarn in a form she never wore. This rang a (loud! Bell with me and my Tea Leaves cardigan. Spurred me to action. I would take the sweater to my friend, fess up about the fit issues, and see what she thought. She swooned over the colour and the style! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). In honour of ...
