I was selling drinks and snacks to passengers and one lady requested to pay by credit card. One rule we have for this is that passengers need to present their passport for the number as our credit card machine is not connected to the bank at 35,000ft! Wednesday, May 21, 2008. The Rising Cost Of Fuel. Petrol is now at record high prices. I was reading in the local Cheltenham newspaper how the 'credit crunch' is affecting people, and for those on lower incomes the message is not good. Petrol is going to be the main topic of this post because without the risk of sounding self indulgent (this is a personal blog afterall) petrol prices affect me the most. Is the government really getting much more money from this? What else can we do to combat this?

The post arrived as per usual this morning, and one package could not be pushed through the door, so the postman rang the doorbell. I answered, said "good morning, thankyou very much" and he said. absolutely nothing. Not even a nod or a smile.
