Operation Explorations: December 2011
http://operationexplorations.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 5, 2011. I LOVE the Christmas holidays! I love the sights and sounds and smells of Christmas. I love the magic of Christmas. I love just sitting by the Christmas tree in the evenings, all lit up and the fire a glow. I love all the time we spend together as a family. I don't like the cold white stuff much but the Christmas season I love! We don't have a lot of family traditions but the ones we have are important to us. Playing in this little taco restaurant was Aaylas favourite thing to do. Making smoothies just like daddy does. Walking through leaves my girls can't help but pick them up by the handfuls. And the Woodland Park Zoo. We bought bird food feeders for $2 each to feed the birds. Oh and I bought this book ( find it here.

http://operationexplorations.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 23, 2012. So Many Thank yous. Our last few days in BC were kind of hectic with packing and cleaning and saying our goodbyes to family and friends but we managed to get everything packed and in the moving truck. including the hot tub :). I must say that craning the hot tub over the neighbours house was a little nerve racking but the crane held up and we managed to get it into the moving truck. We expected to have lots of room left over in the truck but it's amazing just how much stuff we sti...

Wherever the Road Leads. If you are new here. Where are we right now. Sunday, June 10, 2012. Civil War Reenactments and Unexpected Blessings. While staying in Louisa, we had the chance to attend a Civil War Reenactment of the Battle of Trevilion Station. I have to say it was pretty cool! Not the weather.it was pretty hot, but the costumes and the camp were impressively authentic! The kids also got to sample some hardtack, though I can't say that anyone actually ate any. In fact, it's a wonder anyone.

Wherever the Road Leads. If you are new here. Where are we right now. Saturday, March 28, 2015. Visiting Tallahassee Day 1. As it's been awhile since we went on a "true" family vacation, it's been such a big blessing to be able to get away sometimes for the weekend. We decided to explore Tallahassee, about a 3 hour drive from where we're staying. Katie did the slide over and over and over again. A ropes course runs through the grounds, and it enticed us to consider returning for a chance to try it! Jake ...

http://operationexplorations.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 13, 2011. What have we been up to? It is hard to believe that we have been home for almost 3 weeks now and this is the first I have sat down to update the blog! Arriving at home after traveling for over 4 months and over 29,000km's was bitter sweet. The last days before arriving I was not excited at all. Our maiden voyage was coming to an end :( Boo hoo I just wanted to cry! However our trip this summer has solidified a couple things for us. But that lasted all of 1 day. Now is full of...
