I put my hair in a high ponytail and tucked it under in the back securing it with bobby pins. It literally only takes about 5-10 minutes to do. And it only takes that long cause I like a smoothe bun. I lost 7 locks because I got the irons too hot and I had just dyed my hair. I would not recommend this for everyone. The last 3 post were taken appoximately 2 months ago. My hair is just now getting back healthy. Although I love the color I will say that it changes my texture dramatically! Labels: Styles with my new cut and highlights.

I purchased this metal butterfly Alice band a while back and today I thought it a good idea to wear it as it keeps my locks in place thus hiding the grey roots. He he. I think am a smart cookie, just have to find ways of hiding the grey. Advantage though is that you can see quite clearly how much growth you've had over a certain period. IT'S A SILVER BLING THING IN UK! Thursday, 26 February 2009. COMPLETE HEAD OF HENNA. In the picture above, I have just applied the henna. Notice the length here partly caused by the weight of the henna. This is 2 hours later. Length here is beginning to shrink. In this shot it had been in for 3.5 hours. Oh dear more shrinkage. Tuesday, February 16, 2010. It has been one year. I thought my hair would lock faster, but I know I have to be patient. As far as growth, slowly. Luckily I no longer have the afro look going on, but i still do have a lot of loose hair at my ends. I absolutely love my locks and am looking forward to my hair's progression in year two! Friday, October 13, 2006. I had my first retightening on 10/6. I must confess, it was not as bad as I anticipated. It took about 10 hours. Since my installation was more like 42 hours. I was dreading the idea of having my locs retightened. Anyhow. we finished in like 9 hours and 45 minutes and my loctitian even counted my locs for me. Guess how many. 890 lovely locs adorn my head.
