narcoleptic in a cupboard: Tools
http://narcolepticinacupboard.blogspot.com/2015/07/tools.html
A sewing cupboard that is. Oakshott Circles Quilt tutorial. Pyramid Key Fob tute. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. Last week the people of Instagram were a wonderful help advising mum on her choice of new sewing machine. Now its my turn please! Its a top loader, and has a start button for sewing without the foot pedal. For the last few years I've been saying I want a no nonsense straight stitch only tough machine thats designed for quilting. No fancy stitches, just an even feed and the ability for FMQ. I dont real...

A sewing cupboard that is. Oakshott Circles Quilt tutorial. Pyramid Key Fob tute. Sunday, 8 February 2015. What a shame I missed January! And a shame also that I started 2015 blogging on such a sad note too. Fingers crossed it only gets better from here on. My grocery totes. A bag for life might as well be awesome, no? And would you still have a thicker curtain? Floor cushion (needs a bigger infil and maybe a button on that back). And tell me, has anyone had a sofa recovered? She does NOT like it. An...

A sewing cupboard that is. Oakshott Circles Quilt tutorial. Pyramid Key Fob tute. Wednesday, 5 August 2015. I made my choice. Set and ready to sew! I had a good read of all your helpful comments and looked into the various machines recommended. It was always a question of "do it all" household machine or "one trick wonder" specialist. I was a bit scared of the latter to be honest! However. I went to visit a machine, had a wee play, and had to take it home with me. I havent got the knee lift attached yet,...

The Lazy Quilter: Plastic Plates
http://lazyquilter.blogspot.com/2015/08/plastic-plates.html
If stitches were steps, I'd be skinny! Sunday, August 9, 2015. I recently purchased a pair of yoga pants at a local thrift shop. The previous owner was evidently a lot shorter than I am. The hem had been turned up three times and had bands of iron-on hemming tape holding the shorter hem in place. When I took the hem down, I had to figure out how to get the residue off the pants. I tried so many different ways! Using the hottest setting I not only removed goop but the old hem tape residue came off! I thin...

The Lazy Quilter: Paper Plates
http://lazyquilter.blogspot.com/2015/07/paper-plates.html
If stitches were steps, I'd be skinny! Wednesday, July 22, 2015. I haven't been in the studio because we hit the road for a shakedown cruise with the RV. It was hot. It was a long drive. The generator kept messing up and we almost didn't have air-conditioning! Last week, on July 15, the "My Tweets" appliqué work was finished! It was strange to go from, "There are only six flowers left to sew down", to "OMG, I am done! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I wear the hats of a Quilter, Artist, Crafter, Musi...

If stitches were steps, I'd be skinny! Sunday, July 26, 2015. A Set of Plates. I finally got back into the studio for a bit! Time went by SO fast! I didn't get to spend as much play-time as I had hoped for, but hey, as busy as our lives are, I will take what I can get. I not only got all the blades cut out, (80) I sewed them together and finished four plates. Now I have all six sewn together. I have two plates attached to the background blocks. One is Lucy's block:. We'll have to wait and see. It gives m...
The Lazy Quilter: Edge of My Plate
http://lazyquilter.blogspot.com/2015/08/edge-of-my-plate.html
If stitches were steps, I'd be skinny! Sunday, August 2, 2015. Edge of My Plate. I don't know if I've mentioned that the designer, Cindy, of the "My Favorite Things" BOM is from Minnesota. I spent about 40-some years of my life in Minnesota. Some of the blocks she's designed are so "Minnesotan"! I think this is one of the reasons I like this BOM so much. Here is my smaller design wall with the July block, from Cindy's pattern, in the center:. Note the two loons to the left? The Dresden Plate project is a...

An attempt to learn how to live life and sew without 10,000 f bombs. Monday, December 31, 2012. A year in review - and a winner. I really didn't think I did Jack Squat all year. There are even a few little goodies that didn't make it in there. High five for me! Rundown of the year for yours truly:. Randomly made purses for myself and others. The urge comes and goes, usually corresponds with exploded pens or spilled drinks. Managed to learn how to embroider and had a blast with it. Having helped with the ...

MiSh MaSh MaMa: June 2010
http://mishmashmamapo.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Friday, 4 June 2010. Sewing up a storm. Life has not stopped for a second for me to catch my breath. This last year has been one of enormous change and some very very lows, but recently a much needed high. I'm now in the throws of making Skipity-Flip her very own throw quilt. All made from her too small night dresses, pjs and some Heather Ross Munki Munki thrown in to keep up the pj theme. I think I know how to post pictures to this blog, so next post I'll be in colour, like show and tell! A life in lists.
