As promised, I'll post one more entry here as "cindyoverseas"; from now on, you'll have to write me an email to find out my current news, or check out www.georgeandcindy.com! I've been spending a lot of time with George (surprise! Making up for 11 months apart (minus his two-week visit to HK), so that's my good excuse for not posting sooner! Eating Western foods, etc. Actually the funny thing is how...

Part 3 - Everyday Adventures. Cindy in Hong Kong. Apr 24th, 2005 04:26 pm. Cindy in Hong Kong. Last miscellaneous thoughts on my trip to the Philippines. . . . Thanks for the great comments from several of you! Could benefit from a bit more of that outlook, though being recently immersed in those two cultures, I confess I got a bit impatient at times with the slowness of life. . . . A few more random things:. No woman-no cry"- graffiti on a wall somewhere. A little slice of life in downtown Cebu: a man t...

Heaven in the Philippines? - Marco Polo... (with a case of jet lag)
http://marcopolojetlag.livejournal.com/4185.html
Marco Polo. (with a case of jet lag). Heaven in the Philippines? May 8th, 2010 at 3:12 AM. Well, I have some sad news to report. and it is that my Philippine experience is over. at least for now. But it was a very nice one, and I hope for a repeat some time in the future. I was able to get everything worked out by going down to the Internet café in town on Friday (on the back of a motorcycle with my laptop bag). With the people rather than spending time. With people, so I'm not scolding myself too much.

Marco Polo. (with a case of jet lag). First impressions in Chile. dogs and empanadas! Jul 25th, 2010 at 9:55 AM. The unfortunate reality of traveling for work is that work comes first, and blogging comes 2. Or at some other place down the line. I was very busy on this trip, often staying up till nearly midnight to catch up on email that needed to be written, and one time till nearly 2:00 am! So as you can imagine, I didn’t have a lot of time or energy for catching up on my travelogue. So it is not uncomm...

A labor of love. Jan 6th, 2009 at 5:30 PM. My my my.6 weeks have gone by since Nathaniel was born and I haven't blogged a thing! Fortunately I did write in my real paper journal, so I do have record of the things he does so I won't forget them! I've been thinking I should blog about my labor, so here it goes. Not the details per se, but mostly what I learned through it. I went into labor. I started having hard contractions around 10 pm or so on November 22nd, a Saturday. I'd been having light contrac...

I'm finally blogging - christiems
http://christiems.livejournal.com/260.html
Nov 21st, 2008 at 9:15 AM. Well, well, well.It appears that I have lost my ideals of uniqueness and succumbed to the conformity established by those around me. In other words, I am starting to blog. (I know what you're thinking - I'm sounding more and more like my husband, haha). All that being said.I suppose I should journal about my life now. Yes? For those of you already married, I'm sure there's no additional explanation needed, but what would be the fun in stopping this entry there? Being married in...
