Natalie joined the jazz faculty of the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2015, teaching classical and jazz bass. She also runs the university's first Latin jazz ensemble, introducing students to a wide variety of Afro-Cuban and Brazilian musical styles. In addition to her experience teaching at the university level and in the elementary music classroom, Natalie has taught private violin, bass, and piano lessons for nearly 17 years. She is a member of ASTA, JEN, and NAfME.

The Attica Violin Project was the brainchild of Ann Harrison, a member of the Indiana University Foundation board of directors. After a tour of the Fairview Violin Project in Bloomington, IN, Mrs. Harrison knew this type of program would flourish in her small town of Attica, IN. Katarzyna (Kasia) Bugaj was director of the Attica Violin Project between 2010 and 2012. She is now Assistant Professor. Of String Music Education in the College of Music at The Florida State University.

Bassist, Violinist and Pianist. Natalie was raised in a home filled with music, from recordings of. As a violinist, Natalie was a member of her middle school and high school orchestras. Her first exposure to playing jazz was on the violin, when in 7th grade, she joined her after-school jazz band. In 8th grade, she began teaching herself electric bass in order to continue participating in jazz band, and this was the step that launched her fully into playing jazz bass.
