Natalie Kleinman Freelance Writer: It's Just a Matter of Time
http://www.nataliekleinman.blogspot.com/2015/07/its-just-matter-of-time.html
This is the blog of Natalie Kleinman. Friday, 17 July 2015. It's Just a Matter of Time. Just when I thought it was safe…. In my fifteen years as a writer, and with the exception of a few short stories, my work has always taken place in the 21. On the other hand, emails and instant messaging can and have proved a real asset at times. Sadly I don’t think she’s still available with the old green cover. A seed was planted and I ordered six books. More will follow. Could I write a Regency novel? Had a lot of ...

This is the blog of Natalie Kleinman. Sunday, 26 July 2015. Writing Away From Home - Holiday/Retreat/Conference. The writing calendar is full of wonderful events. With financial resources at a premium how does one choose what to attend and what to just hanker after (apologies for the split infinitive)? That said, we attended courses and talks, learned a huge amount and left with a strong desire to learn more…there’s always more to learn, isn’t there? Romantic Novelists’ Association Annual Conference.

This is the blog of Natalie Kleinman. Sunday, 14 June 2015. Diary of a Writer's Week. It’s been a week of many parts. At times it felt like having all the ingredients to make a cake but not being sure what the outcome would be. Strictly speaking this was the previous week but as we went out to celebrate my daughter’s birthday I couldn’t resist an excuse for posting this photo. With Lisa Eveleigh last month. At the RNA Summer Party. I am writing this piece. It is my intention to take the weekend off.

This is the blog of Natalie Kleinman. Monday, 23 February 2015. And Now For My Next Trick. A week ago my finger was hovering. All my courage was not in both hands but in that suspended digit. Could I do more? Almost certainly I could but there comes a time…I pushed. I was comforted by the thought that I might be able to some extent to put it out of my mind rather than open my mailbox first thing in the morning and look at it last thing at night in a fever of anticipation. Who am I kidding? D missed so ob...

Carol's Corner: January 2015
http://www.carol-bevitt.co.uk/2015_01_01_archive.html
Carol Bevitt's blog on her writing and inspirations, along with occasional literature related news. Thursday, 29 January 2015. Today's post won't be very long, nor writing related. Our house has had a very bad case of Water Hammer recently- so whenever anyone turns on/off the hot taps there's a horrid noise. Fortunately the heating was okay- I don't work well in cold. The heating Engineer visited today and the solution is a valve being inserted into the pipework - seems we have a water pressure issue.

Carol Bevitt's blog on her writing and inspirations, along with occasional literature related news. Thursday, 6 August 2015. Making Plans for 2016. A couple of years ago I bought an academic style diary because I started to have a list of dates for appointments and school/college dates for the next year, but only the back of the current year's diary to note them down - and my writing is not small! But this got me thinking about next year's events- yes I know it's only August. I'm thinking about a visit t...

As I missed this year's Festival of Romance in September- it was the same weekend as my son was moving into halls at university- I was hoping that I'll be able to attend next year. Well the dates and location have been announced. 6th to the 8th November 2015 at Stratford upon Avon in Warwickshire. It's been a very long time since I last visited.

Carol Bevitt's blog on her writing and inspirations, along with occasional literature related news. Sunday, 28 June 2015. My Saturday at Lowdham Book Festival. The Lowdham Book Festival has been running 16 years. It started small and has built on its success, and the final Saturday is a must visit place for anyone living in Nottinghamshire. On the day I'll be there with one or two others to set up, and the last to leave with all the gathered equipment/leaflets. Ready for opening time. Later in the day I ...

Carol Bevitt's blog on her writing and inspirations, along with occasional literature related news. Thursday, 25 September 2014. Contemporary or Historical Romance? Over the years I've read a lot of contemporary romance fiction as well as historical romances. Though I never thought I would actually try writing a contemporary romance, I am persisting. Meanwhile my historical novella is sitting in first draft form waiting for me to continue the revision notes, while I continue with this contemporary romance.

Elaine Roberts and Francesca Capaldi Burgess chatting about their writing world. A Little First Hand Research. Using Building Blocks To… →. What We Include Consciously and Subconsciously. August 14, 2015. Elaine and Francesca consider those things that always crop up automatically in their writing. And a few things they’re not so good at including when they should. When Francesca asked me what I automatically include in my short stories and novels, I have to say my mind went totally blank. So what do I a...
Final countdown … | Tales From Baggins Bottom

Tales From Baggins Bottom. Final countdown …. These guys turned up in the field at the bottom of our garden the other day. This time next week we’ll already be enjoying our wedding day. There is still so much to do and sort out, especially with us going off on honeymoon the very next day, and very little time in which to do it. We have another busy few days ahead, but boy, are we going to make the most of our holiday. Today I have a hair appointment at 4:30pm, so a short day for me. I would have done...

Carol Bevitt's blog on her writing and inspirations, along with occasional literature related news. Thursday, 28 May 2015. Even Antagonists Have Feelings. I've made good progress with the character bios. I've completed those for my hero and heroine- and found out a few snippets I hadn't realised before which will be useful in the later chapters. Now I'm at the stage of creating the profiles of my antagonists. One isn't very pleasant, but I now know why. Perhaps it's just human nature; compassion, or the ...

OUTFITS OF THE YEAR 2016 -. Krásný poslední den roku 2016! WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS -. Doufám, že si užíváte vánoční svátky. Já se cpu od rána do večera cukrovím, koukám na pohádky, čtu si knížky a vůbec dělám...

This is the blog of Natalie Kleinman. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Journeys Back in Time. If you follow me on Facebook and Twitter you will know that I visited the Imperial War Museum earlier this week in the company of Elaine Everest, Viv Brown and Sarah Craven. While the historical period I am hoping to write about wasn’t represented, I had a wonderful time at the ‘Fashion on the Ration’ exhibition. Here is Elaine to tell us more about it. Amigas in España
Wednesday, May 9, 2012. In love with lagos. After that, we hopped back on the bus, checked into the hotel, and then threw on our suits and went and took a walk to the beach. And I know I always say everything was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, but Portugal's beaches were honestly the prettiest beaches in the WORLD. Seriously. You all need to go there. They are breathtaking. End of the world. Will I do it ever again? Absolutely not. But hey, I guess it was an adventure. Of course after the sailb...
