Luckily between 4 computers, we were able to secure a spot in the Upper Pines of Yosemite Valley. They go so quickly. We left Monday morning and arrived in the afternoon. This is "Tunnel View", as you are about to drive down into the Yosemite Valley. One of the highlights of the day, roasting marshmallows. We hiked 2 miles RT to mirror lake. The water is so clear...

Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Book Review- The Kitchen House. In 1790, Lavinia, a seven-year-old Irish orphan with no memory of her past, arrives on a tobacco plantation where she is put to work as an indentured servant. The book follows about 15 years of Lavinia's life. I absolutely loved this book. It was hard to put down. I love the character development. The author did a wonderful job and describing each character's personality and evolving them. Definitely recommend. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, September 1, 2013. Ryan couldn't be happier.with his surfer girl. Kennedee earned her first surfboard! We took her out a few times last year, but she wasn't all that excited about it. She went a couple times and rode the waves on her knees. Ryan bought Kennedee her very own surfboard. Kennedee said it was ok if I came, so long as I took pictures. These pictures are from yesterday. We only had 90 minutes and then when we left, she was crying because she wanted to keep going surfing. I love watchin...

Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Saturday, February 2, 2013. Book Review-The Red Tent. The RED TENT by Anita Diamant. It is a first-person narrative. That tells the story of Dinah. And sister of Joseph. She is a minor character in the Bible. But the author has broadened her story. The book's title refers to the tent in which women of Jacob's tribe must, according to the ancient law, take refuge while menstruating. I really enjoyed this book, very different from what I have ever read, and would recommend. I lov...
