Thursday, March 31, 2011. Family Trip to San Diego! It was so fun being with each other everyday for a few days. We laughed till we cried, we had pillow fights, and lots of wrestling matches. The kids especially loved having daddy around all day long. I'm so glad that we went on this trip. It was very much needed for all of us! I love this picture. Saturday we enjoyed a sunny hike to Mosquito Lake, just 30 minutes from town, and visited one of the teachers and her husband who are building their own house from local, natural materials. We liked their Russian stove, a massive masonry heater that is extremely efficient and gives off heat for nearly a day after being fired. It incorporates an oven, and they built it themselves!
