In June, we went back to the states for a couple of weeks to update a bunch of documents, visit a bunch of doctors, give a few missions reports, and visit our families. Given how much we had to get accomplished in only a few short weeks, it was a whirlwind trip! But more on the “grown up” part of the trip later. 8220;Your boys are adorable! Sally, Maury, Carter and Caroline came in town to visit grandparents and spent the afternoon with us! We met for lunch at Pizza Inn which was surprisingly tame with 5 kids ages 10 months-5 years! Then we headed to the playground in our neighborhood for a little outside time after yesterday's stormy weather. Once it was time for Caroline's nap we came home for a little dress-up!

We made the trip twice – with a view like the one above, who wouldn’t? But the lake was not the best bit. The Gorges du Verdon was absolutely the highlight. The place really is amazing. Twenty miles from Edinburgh, it’s not somewhere I had ever been before – and I was pleasantly surprised! Rachel had heard of this place through some of her work colleagues and believed it to be worth a trip. The following day Rodger, Leah and Nathan were able to ride the Shotover Jet Boat and according to the guide had the same boat as the Royals (it was the newest boat in their fleet), and Leah was seated in the same seat that Kate occupied! Sunday, July 1, 2012. Oh my Dexy boy whenever I see this picture I just laugh but it perfectly captures you. You don't cry, you occasionally squawk. You have been so easy to take places. You don't love you car seat, but love your baby sling. And as long as your laying next to me, you'll sleep endlessly. This chair constitutes your safe chair in our house. It got placed on the kitchen island the day you came home as the only place big brother couldn't reach or gain access to you and it remains there today.
