Nate's Adventures

Most of a Summer. Summer managed to mostly slip away without any blog updates. I'll try to cover all of our doings but not be too lengthy. Our Montana reception in June was great fun. My parents and sister, Courtney did a fine job organizing and getting all the neighbors and friends there. Catching up with that many people is tough, but Sarah and I were glad to try, and happy so many could be there, including her parents, brother Nick, and grandparents Eddy and Marilyn. I have not done any braiding all s...

Nate's Adventures: Christmas '15

http://natecoxmt.blogspot.com/2016/01/christmas-15.html

It's not very often that two consecutive posts are about trips home, that seems to be the case this time. I got rained out of a Florida testing trip earlier in December, and otherwise have not had any trips or particularly notable doings since October other than a bunch of braiding. Our flight out on Sunday evening missed some heavy snowstorms by less than a day, and we arrived with no trouble. We flew into Great Falls due to late ticket purchases, but weren't much inconvenienced. Sparkler sledding is ex...

Nate's Adventures: Wedding Weekend

http://natecoxmt.blogspot.com/2016/04/wedding-weekend.html

For those that did not know, Sarah and I got married on April 23rd! The wedding was in Pella for several reasons even though neither of us were originally from here, but the best part was having the opportunity to show our friends and relatives where we've lived the last few years. This is especially important with our move to Montana looming on the horizon. I'll continue on that at a later time. Shepherding a tour of about twenty people around my plant and office at work. Having a perfect spring day to ...

Nate's Adventures: Bye Pella

http://natecoxmt.blogspot.com/2016/06/bye-pella.html

In our effort to cram as many life changes into a short time as possible, we have also been planning the move back to Montana along with the wedding and honeymoon. The spring wedding was needed because of our desire to be married before we left for Montana. In any case, we've condensed many things into the months of April and May. I've spent two days at the ranch so far, doing mostly dealership work, and my dad and I haven't fired each other yet. We will see you again soon!

Nate's Adventures: Rawhide Workshop

http://natecoxmt.blogspot.com/2016/02/rawhide-workshop.html

It ran Tuesday through Friday, so I made the nine hour trip Monday after work. Tyler, unfortunately, had an obligation on Tuesday morning and wasn't able to leave until that afternoon, missing that day of class. Tyler and I both got reminders of how small the world is: he had met two of the other braiders years earlier. Another of them and I had common acquaintances in northeast Oklahoma, and I'd spent time in his home town on two different work trips. To add to this adventurous week, I came back to Iowa...

Kellum Family Blog: February 2013

http://ackellum.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, February 21, 2013. A few more things we’re doing…. 1) First, we finally met Clara Bernhart! It was such a fun time visiting with ALL of the Bernharts (minus Annie) when Jay, Brad, and Charlotte spent some time in Phoenix with Margene and Gordon. But let’s face it – the baby steals the show! 2) Soaking up some sun! OK, we’ve been having some rain too but the sunshine has been glorious. [I actually let Elayna wear JEANS in these pictures. Aren’t they cute! I’ve been searching for something ...

Kellum Family Blog: April 2013

http://ackellum.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Friday, April 26, 2013. Time for another Daddy Daughter Dance. Last night was our church’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance. This year was a luau and Elayna was extremely excited to spend an evening with just her dad! They both came home last night exhausted and happy. They danced, they took pictures, they were silly with their friends. I think they both had a GREAT time together. Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Feeding cows with Grandpa Cliff and horses with Uncle Nate. Four-wheeling with Aunt Licia! If They Cannot...

Kellum Family Blog: March 2014

http://ackellum.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 31, 2014. March: a month of sports. March was an extremely busy month and a great time to be outside. Here’s a rough summary of some of our activities. Elayna’s tennis lessons. She’s with her friends Paige and Sophia. Adventure Run: March 29. We ran an exciting family race through a park in Tempe. The Adventure Run consisted of a mile course with multiple obstacles: bubble pits, ropes course, balance beams. Elayna’s Fun Run Fundraiser at School. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, March 17, 2013. A St Patties Day Stroll. We didn’t do much to celebrate our 1/8 Irish heritage … but I did make Elayna stroll in the desert with me to attempt taking some new pictures. Sunday, March 10, 2013. One of our favorite things about living in Phoenix is March Spring Training. Baseball on the grass, hotdogs and beer, warm breezes and blissful sun. We chose a perfect day! Kellum Family Blog: April 2014

http://ackellum.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 6, 2014. Happy 6th Birthday, Elayna! We celebrated E’s 6th birthday with a special milestone: ear piercing! E was very brave. The initial shock was very hard for her and she bolted from the store; Aaron chased her halfway down the block to calm her down. She was happy to buy some new earrings to celebrate and show off her new jewelry. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). If They Cannot Come Here, We Will Send Our Love There. Mingle's Pie Hole

Sunday, July 20, 2008. Okay, Universal, now you're going after KIDS? I got an interesting text message from my 13-year old brother back home in Nebraska this morning. 160;I got an email about a video on YouTube I just put up.". 160;at his school this past year. 160;Because if they are I imagine they'll spend a lot of time in Juvenile Court.  And of course the whole thing is just ridiculous anyway, as we all know.
