Nate Dawg: Cool Crab
http://natedawgzblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/cool-crab.html
Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Here's a cool crab I found in my reef tank! October 6, 2011 at 12:21 PM. Thats a gorilla crab! You should kill this crab or drop him into your refugium. They eat corals. I found 2 in my nano and thought they were cute, maybe some sort of emerald crab. I noticed the claws were different so I researched and found out what they were. I managed to get them in time before they did too much damage. They did damage my xenias, several polyps and a few other corals. View my complete profile.

Jelly Keeping: New System | Jellyfish
http://jellykeeping.blogspot.com/2011/01/new-system.html
Monday, January 24, 2011. Here's my new system. It's the most basic thing I could think of. The light helps me see the polyps and ephyra better. There is a jar with slow moving bubbles for the ephyra and a dish with a slow bubbler for the polyps. The ephyra jar with frozen rotifers in it. There are three epyhra in it. The polyp dish has an acrylic slide that I scratched up with sandpaper so that they could attach better. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Places to Get Started!
Jelly Keeping: Doing things right. | Jellyfish
http://jellykeeping.blogspot.com/2011/01/doing-things-right.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. I've decided to keep my jellies the right way. For almost a year (or around six months) I've been failing at keeping the ephyra alive. It's because I'm trying to keep them my way. Clearly my way doesn't work. I'm going to have a chat with Jellyfishart.com so they can give me some tips (Thanks Alex! I'm going find a method of raising jellies that works. So stay tuned. Soon, I'll have a system that works and perhaps some of you may try also. I hope I can pick up this slack!

There are many things you can feed your jellyfish. Frozen foods, live plankton, liquefied plankton, etc. However, there are two you should stick with. Frozen Plankton meant for Jellies and Live Baby Brine Shrimp. In this post, I'll be discussing the pros and cons to each type of food. Frozen Plankton meant for Jellies. Jelly Keeping: June 2010 | Jellyfish
http://jellykeeping.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 21, 2010. I added a new page up there Jellykeeping Basics. They were forming for a while before but I'm guessing the heat sped them up. So, that's what's going on in my tank. Also, I'm still trying to fix the ephyra section of the tank to not suck them up in the screen. I emailed Jim Stime (Jelliquarium.com owner). I told him all the specs of my tank and he said my flow was too strong. I will turn it down with the valve I have. I will also get a smaller screen. The screen I have now is:.
Jelly Keeping: Setting Up the Tank Again!!! | Jellyfish
http://jellykeeping.blogspot.com/2011/03/setting-up-tank-again.html
Saturday, March 12, 2011. Setting Up the Tank Again! So I've decided to set up my tank again. This time it will not be used for breeding though. I'll keep grown jellies in it. So far, I've spray painted the whole thing black so it will be better as a display. The pseudo-kreisel will be used for moon jellies. I'm going to get a Multi-Color E27 LED Light Bulb with Remote. To put in the goose neck lamp above the tank. Then I'm going to get two upside down jellies to make sure the bio-filter is jelly safe.
Jelly Keeping: April 2010 | Jellyfish
http://jellykeeping.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 8, 2010. I have a new video of the Polyp and Ephyra tank! I Hope you like it! So you may notice that the water in this tank is moving WAY too fast. Clearly, with more experience, I am able to look back at my past mistakes. I hope you can learn from my mistakes also. Here's one thing to remember: The water should be moving just enough to sweep the ephyrae off the bottom of the tank. They should not be tossed around like what is happening to these paper towels.
