I have never gotten too involved in politics and never been involved in any political debates simply due to a lack of knowledge and/or interest in the subject. I consider myself to be a Liberal and usually vote, if I vote at all, Democratic. The article looks at non-defence discretionary spending as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product since 1962 and shows that, as a percentage of GDP, non-defence discretionary spending has not made government less affordable.
