Friday, October 9, 2009. I'm not a slow reader, I'm a ponderer. Why has it taken me a month to get through the first twenty pages? The book is called Worldliness: Resisting the Seduction of a Fallen World. Now, “worldliness” is not a new word for me. I didn’t need to go to my favorite website (dictionary.com) to figure this one out. The author (C.J. Mahaney) went straight to 1 John 2:15, which reads, “Do not love the world or anything in the world.”. He went here to describe the concept of worldliness.

Thursday, April 15, 2010. Hearing from God in Unexpected Places. I love walking away from a situation - especially a regular task - with a changed heart. Today, for instance, I got a little lesson from God at the gas pump. To get the gas into my car. I leaned against my car - with my coffee in hand - and watched cent-by-cent as the pump dripped gasoline into my tank. Saturday, May 8, 2010. Today, I spent a lot of time holding Elizabeth. Twice, she fell asleep next to me as I laid on the coach. Her little head was on my shoulder. Changed For Good

Monday, April 15, 2013. Here's what I've been up to over the last week:. Took pictures of some of the things in our house from the list that I posted here. The Welcome mat at our Front Door. The "Headboard" Curtains that I made. Bedside table redo to match. With red on the inside! Toilet Paper Roll Art. For our bedroom wall. Sorry about the terrible pictures of it. You can't really tell, but it is painted a dark purple, to tie in with the curtains. Started the Couch 2 5K program (again) using this program.
