A rug, a few tasty items and some people to talk to. Friday, 27 April 2012. First here is a question: why is it that mermaids are scaly like fish but have vertical facing tails like dolphins? At the distance where early modern sailors are likely to mistake dolphins or manatees or seals or whatever for mermaids, scaliness can't be discerned but swimming technique can. The sailors didn't know about the animals in question not being scaly. That is a good shape for surviving/dissipating massive explosions.
