In everything give thanks - I Thessalonians 5:18. Thursday, August 30, 2007. The past week and a half my personal quiet time has been basically the same thing- the Proverb for the day and Colossians chapter 3. i keep reading it and rereading it trying to get my head wrapped around the teaching. it seems so basic -so simple, yet i find myself unable to live it out faithfully. my life is to be. This was brought about all over again as this morning i struggled with the "putting off" list as i had to work th...

Damsel and Family: Back to the grind (almost)
http://damselandfamily.blogspot.com/2008/01/back-to-grind-almost.html
Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Back to the grind (almost). Jet started back to school today. I don't go back until tomorrow, so I got him up and took him this morning. Normally, I'm out of the house by 6:00 am, so Knight does. With and for Jet in the mornings. I try to remember to lay out clothes and whatever else Jet might need for the day, but sometimes I forget. Getting back into the routine is hard for most people, but seemed especially hard for him. It doesn't help that, at three years old, one. My car...

http://damselandfamily.blogspot.com/2008/01/i-hope-i-dont-jinx-it.html
Tuesday, January 8, 2008. I hope I don't jinx it. Jet has been staying in his bed. For several nights out of the last week or so. We bought him a new "big boy bed" with some of our Christmas money, and then let him pick out sheets at Target. He repeatedly stated that he wanted "Trans. Sheets. http://damselandfamily.blogspot.com/2008/01/thursday-thirteen-1.html
Thursday, January 10, 2008. I'm trying something new this week. I saw this on TeacherBee's blog, and decided that I might write more often if only I had a little direction. It would be nice to have one day a week that has a little more structure to it. So, here is my first Thursday Thirteen! Thirteen Things about Damsel. 2 When I do go to Starbucks, I usually get a passion tea (sweetened) or an iced chai tea latte. Saturday, September 22, 2007. Guilted me into it. (Just kidding, Heather! Thanks for the encouragement! I am now SIX weeks into the school year. For the very first time, I sat down at my desk Friday afternoon after my last class and blinked in amazement at the fact that I was. Now, for you to understand the trauma I have endured, you need to understand my Nerdiness. For me to NOT be two weeks ahead in my lesson plans, even though I've worked several Saturdays. That's a fun one! We have to do it! One Jet ...

Thursday, January 10, 2008. Today was a GREAT day. Ever have one of those days where things just. I had one today. Lots of things went right, and lots of those things were due to some hard work I've put in. That feeling of accomplishment is just so awesome. I thought I'd celebrate them with you! It's such a good feeling to go into a Friday knowing that my lessons are planned for the following week. I know that 5.2 pounds is totally unrealistic for a one-week loss, but that just confirms my thoughts t...
