Posted by Nathan's Parents. At birth Nathan weighed 2 lbs and 7 ounces and measured 14 3/8 inches long. Nathan was born premature because mother developed HELLP Syndrome ( https:/ health.google.com/health/ref/HELLP syndrome. A 1 in 1000 occurrence in pregnancies. Oddly, mother did not show the signs doctors expect for this diagnosis. The word “anomaly” was used repeatedly during the evaluation and delivery process. We continue to search for answers. Once all the tubes and IVs are gone, we’ll post some new video. He’s closing in on 8 lbs! Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. We hope this is the last mile. Hello all – we just wanted to post a quick update to announce that Nathan is home, at last. He arrived home late Monday evening. He’s doing well, but this is quite a change for him going from the bright, loud NICU to a peaceful environment. He’s not sure what to do with all the darkness and quiet. We’ll post more later. Now we have the schedule for Nathan’s next two surgeries (and hopefully final before coming come).
