July 08, 2010. A Man with No Plan. Reading 1 Samuel with my LTG. 0160;Every time I read this book I am struck by Saul. Given so much and just simply blows it. All sorts of deep spiritual lessons to be learned from his failures but this time around I am taken with a really pragmatic obvious one:. HE HAS NO PLAN. With nothing larger to aim for, with no big dream about what kind of king he wants to be, or what kind of king the people deserve he settles for uninformed decisiveness and the result is chaos.

January 15, 2010. I have been going about normal living the last few days. But normal has not felt. I have been trying just to think about the things that I normally think about. But my mind is continually drawn back to thoughts of Haiti. My heart feels heavy. I have never been a news watcher. I don't like watching it, and actually avoid watching for the most part (unless I am missing Harv and want to spend some quality (? Of the world around me.
