On Coaching Kids: Baseball: Tee Ball Practice Game
http://www.oncoachingkidsbaseball.com/2008/02/tee-ball-practice-game.html
Tee Ball Practice Game. Here's a good little game you can play with your tee ballers in practice. This is a good game to do right after a running game. This drill reinforces fundamental hand to glove coordination, concentration and teamwork in a competitive but fun way. It doesn't take long, so you can do it a half a dozen times. It's also a good segue into a throwing drill as the kids are already line up across from each other. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Resources for the Youth Baseball Coach.

Coaching 6 Year Olds Baseball. In our town, 6 years of age is when kids get to play ball. Tee-ball at its worst is mayhem with some adult supervision. At its best, it is a fun introduction to the great game of baseball. The single most important thing a coach can do for his or her Tee Ball squad is to make it fun. I offer these tips on practice:. Get the kids...

Tips From The Coach. TIPS FROM THE COACH. I am often asked what is the single most important thing a coach should do? Tell your players they are GOOD, a LOT! When practicing, practice having success. In BP, don't blow it by them Don't slip in a change up. Give them pitches they can hit. When hitting infield, don't scald rocket shots at them. Hit them a 'can of corn'. Make sure they have the opportunity to make the play 90% of the time. We might get beat but we never lost! Tips from the coach. I am Peter ...

On Coaching Kids: Baseball: Tee Ball Batting Practice
http://www.oncoachingkidsbaseball.com/2008/03/tee-ball-batting-practice.html
Tee Ball Batting Practice. This batting exercise is best done with two kids while the rest of the team is engaged in some other activity. Have the kids hit into the backstop or fence. Put old SOCCER OR BASKETBALLS on the tee* and tell them to hit it! What kid can't hit a big ball like that? Have each kid hit a dozen balls, then switch them. Then have each kid hit the baseball off the tee a dozen times. NOTE: It helps to have a plunger to stick into the tee to keep the soccer balls in place.

On Coaching Kids: Baseball: Tee Ball Tips
http://www.oncoachingkidsbaseball.com/2008/02/tee-ball-tips-part-one.html
I finished practice today and wandered into the field house to find our league president finishing his annual "tee ball coaches meeting." The room was filled with apprehensive guys who weren't sure what they were in for. I offered a few of the guys these tips:. KEEP PRACTICE UNDER AN HOUR- 50 minutes is long enough for 6 year olds. KIDS LOVE TO RUN! Have some gum for everyone after the last race as you end your practice-they'll leave happy and want to come back the next time. Have the kids 8-10 feet apar...
