There is nothing better about being a blogger than discovering resources and websites that can help me as a teacher to better improve my teaching and learning alongside of my students. In honor of Halloween, we had a lot of fun with the Caldecott award book, Creepy Carrots! By Aaron Reynolds and illustrated by Peter Brown. As a choice in our Makerspace after book check-out, students had an opportunity to make their own creepy carrots! The kids had so much fun! They did a great job, don't you think?

Memorial School joined millions of other students around the world in December to learn about computer programming or coding. All of our grade 1 classes had an opportunity to learn what coding is and to actually do some coding!
