Truck and Trailer Back-Up. L Mini Excavator Event. Relay layout changed for safety. In an effort to protect competitors and increase the safety of the Rodeo, we have switched the location of the participant/runner box on the Softball and Egg Pick-up events. We have also amended the Rules and penalties to reflect. No transfer of the baton to the operator. No participants running through the safety zone. Trail Boss Award

Is given annually to an individual at the National Gas Rodeo, Friday night banquet. This award was implemented in 2001 to recognize an individual for exemplary service, leadership and contribution to the National Gas Rodeo. Nominations for the award shall be reviewed and voted upon during the annual planning meeting. The award will be presented at the Rodeo event Friday night banquet prior to the competition. 2016 - Robert Cavaliere, Keyspan (retired). 2015 - Tim Ellefson, Colorado Springs Utilities.
