http://themiddlemiles.blogspot.com/2012/06/open-letter-to-brooks-re-launch.html
Friday, June 8, 2012. An Open Letter to Brooks Re: Launch. It's no secret that the Brooks Launch. Is my favorite trainer. It's a super simple shoe, no nonsense, no bells and whistles.nothing but function. My friend Andrew. Recommended it to me a while ago, and while at first, I resisted and bought the Ghost. Remember back when PureProject was announced. You told us that there was no right or wrong in the "float versus feel" spectrum? Per say. I liked the PureConnect. Well, the Launch worked. I'm not the ...

Running Shoe Dilemma | KateMotivate
https://katemotivate.wordpress.com/2010/04/23/running-shoe-dilemma
I 3 Fridays Off! April 23, 2010. I have issues with running shoes; I don’t like them. It’s my preference to never wear shoe and my Rainbows get year-round use. (Yes, I wear flip-flops in January in MD! Got me through training for my half marathon until mile 12 of the race, when I developed blisters under my toe joints. I was also having issues with pain on the outside of my foot. And the cushioning was worn out, so it was time to get them replaced. Different running stores I went to recommended the Rider.

The Middle Miles: Gear Review: Oakley Flak Jacket
http://themiddlemiles.blogspot.com/2011/09/gear-review-oakley-flak-jacket.html
Friday, September 2, 2011. Gear Review: Oakley Flak Jacket. I've had Oakley lust since I can remember. As an elementary school kid, I bought a pair of $10 Foakleys at a flea market because they looked almost exactly like the Oakley Twenty (which I believe went by a different name back then, but that name escapes me right now). Unfortunately, as you've probably guessed, while they looked. And after trying on his, I decided that the next pair of sunglasses I bought were going to be Flak Jackets. I really l...

Evans Newell: July 2009
http://evansnewell.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
The music is perpetual, it is the hearing that is intermittent" - Thoreau. Saturday, July 4, 2009. Rev Noodle, If You Please. From until the day I am called home. Our 3 days in Fort Mill were packed with dozens of tiny blessings. With a nod to an old hymn, I'm taking time to count those blessings for my friends and loved ones who could not be present. From the Carolina Rhythm Band invited me to sit in with them at a dinner party engagement. We had a blast! And had lunch with the family. Mom's brother...

The Middle Miles: Gear Review: Life Outside the Oval Office: The Track Less Traveled by Nick Symmonds
http://themiddlemiles.blogspot.com/2014/10/gear-review-life-outside-oval-office.html
Thursday, October 16, 2014. Gear Review: Life Outside the Oval Office: The Track Less Traveled by Nick Symmonds. I have been a Nick Symmonds. Life Outside the Oval Office. Life Outside the Oval Office. Is a quick, easy read. I was (and still am) partway through A Clash of Kings. Simple, but that's really my only complaint. Obviously, at its core, Life Outside the Oval Office. Big thanks to Nick Symmonds and Brooks for the autographed copy! Life Outside the Oval Office: The Track Less Traveled. Retails fo...

The Middle Miles: FAQ

I have a product I'd like you to review! Will you review it? Sure, as long as it's running (or cycling) related, or relevant to my blog in some other way. Send me an email. And we can talk. Will you link to my blog? Can I write a guest post? Will you draw a picture of me? I'd be happy to. I do freelance artwork on the side to help pay for school, and generally charge US$50 for a single person portrait (additional people can be added for a small surcharge). The Middle Miles: Gear Review: Tifosi Slip
http://themiddlemiles.blogspot.com/2011/09/gear-review-tifosi-slip.html
Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Gear Review: Tifosi Slip. I recently reviewed the Oakley Flak Jacket. Tifosi Slip in Carbon with High Speed Red Fototec lens. The Slip is a half-frame pair of sports sunglasses with an interchangeable single lens (similar setup to the Oakley M-Frame. The Slip comes offered in one of several combinations: either a frame that includes three different lenses, or, for $10 more, one of the Fototec. Like they'd be flimsy, though in reality, they can actually take a whole lot of abu...

The Middle Miles: Gear Review: Tifosi Podium XC
http://themiddlemiles.blogspot.com/2013/11/gear-review-tifosi-podium-xc.html
Monday, November 11, 2013. Gear Review: Tifosi Podium XC. A little while ago, I reviewed the Tifosi Slip. Tifosi fills a niche as a budget-performance sunglass company, with most of their offerings falling between $50 and $80. I've always considered them a great value, bang-for-your-buck company, since they're less than half the price of similar products from companies like Oakley and Smith, yet they're still high quality products (though perhaps not quite. Tifosi Podium XC indoor sweat test. The Podium ...

The Middle Miles: Gear Review: Ryders Via
http://themiddlemiles.blogspot.com/2014/07/gear-review-ryders-via.html
Monday, July 21, 2014. Gear Review: Ryders Via. Sunglasses are one of those items that make running much more pleasant (because no one likes squinting into the sun, or eye damage for that matter), but tend to cost a lot of money. While everyone tends to recognize big (expensive) names like Oakley. There are also companies that are making high-performance sunglasses at a lower price point, (the previously reviewed Tifosi Slip. The Ryders Via sits close to my face and provides good coverage. Shown here...
