http://birdingneversleeps.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-sussex-squacco-at-last.html
Friday, 3 July 2015. A Sussex Squacco . at last. I set out for work and realised as soon as I was halfway down our road that I had forgotten to put my small binoculars in my bag. Already a bit late it didn't seen worth going back for them, after all it was early July and even after this amazing spring it seemed a safe bet that I wouldn't need them. Well I got that wrong! Matt and Jake phoned to let me know (many thanks guys, very much appreciated as I might not have checked my pager for hours! One of 14 ...

Saturday, 30 May 2015. Red-necked Phalarope (Sidlesham, 30 May). Black-winged Stilt at the rear of Sidlesham Ferry pool. A very pale legged individual. At least it was large enough to get reasonable digiscoped images. On a rare foray to the near side of the ferry pool, where the mud was much thicker! Red-necked Phalarope on Sidlesham Ferry. Found by John King while I was looking the other way. I thought it was a female. Although head-on images are not so convincing. A splendid bird whatever. During a wal...

All four Whooper Swans at Barnham. Robin at Barnham. How many British birds are really better than this? Short-eared Owl going away over the Burgh. Looking back at 3/4 frozen lower pond at Petworth, no Goosanders ice-skating here today. Old trees in Petworth Park. Robin by the Adur with the new camera. Nessa, Megan and the Old Toll Bridge.

birding never sleeps: June 2015
http://birdingneversleeps.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 June 2015. Frank Lambert, a good friend of more years than we cared to remember, was visiting his mum in Brighton for a few days on his way back to KL and we had a morning at Pagham. Between being gripped off by some of his recent travels (450 new birds in 3.5 months in Mexico, Colorado, California and Alaska) and forthcoming tours (PNG, Australia, Sumatra, India) we saw a few birds! Late afternoon, at low tide, Megan and I walked around the Adur where 2 Common Sandpipers were unexpected.
