They are very numerous throughout the Southeastern states in Mississippi and Alabama. The Turtle is mostly painted up in yellows, reds and black. Their shells are yellow bordered with darker colors and underneath the shell, they are yellow. The turtle doesn't get large as many water turtles do. They get about 9 to 10 inches large.
