Western suburbs taste great. Tag Archives: western suburbs. That’s not coleslaw! Posted on August 20, 2016. 28 Pratt Street, Moonee Ponds. Phone: 9326 0350. CTS had been wanting to try the new Moonee Valley branch of the Hunky Dory chain right from day one, but has been thwarted by its popularity and a lack of communal seating. The latter, in particular, seems foolish in a high-turnover swish fast-food place. So how do I go with my CTS benchmark order of F&C, chips, coleslaw? Not so good …. Often F&C pla...

Western suburbs taste great. Footscray’s new spicy place. Posted on May 6, 2016. Spicy Chef, 359 Barkly Street, Footscray. Phone: 9687 7224. This was something of an impromptu CTS gathering that came together very easily. A spare Sunday night, a new Indian place to try, who’s in? So it was that six of us gathered with just one aim in mind – to take for a spin the Spicy Chef opening special of biryani, starter, salad and drink for $11.95. Perhaps other restaurateurs could take this idea and run with it!

The latter, in particular, seems foolish in a high-turnover swish fast-food place. But, finally and during a very busy Friday lunch hour, I grab one of the small for-two tables and settle in. Not so good ….

Western suburbs taste great. Tag Archives: Indian restaurants. Posted on July 30, 2016. Ethnic India, 4/2-6 Kilmur Road, Hoppers Crossing. Phone: 9369 4133. Ethnic India is located on the Golden Mile in Hoppers Crossing, on one of the light industrial/commercial precincts that are offshoots of it. When I Bennie and I arrive for our Sunday lunch, I get a surprise. I’d visited on my own several months previously for a quick look and lunch. But, basically, it was a huge space. Onion bhaji ($8.50, top ph...

We proceed to enjoy a fine light lunch.

Loving, sharing, cherishing life. By WordPress.com Support. It’s been an interesting start to the new year. Lots of things have happened and rather than dwelling on the not-so-good, I thought I’d share my favorites for the month! The hubby and I started the year off spending less time holding onto our phones and more time holding onto each other and creating memories with the kids and it’s been amazing, so below are something of the things that have brightened up the first few weeks of 2017. This place h...
