Running with Perseverance: My Talented Friends
http://runningwithperseverence.blogspot.com/2011/08/my-talented-friends.html
A lifelong adventure of going far, wide, and deep with God. August 31, 2011. What would you do/be if you could do/be anything in the world? One of my answers is to be a rock star. No joke. Well. maybe not the star part but at least be a part of a band and write some cool songs, rock out on a stage with an electric or drums or piano, have a million people in the crowd sing along with you, you know. My only barriers are that:. I can't sing. all that well. This song is my favorite out of the bunch. This is ...

Running with Perseverance: December 2010
http://runningwithperseverence.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
A lifelong adventure of going far, wide, and deep with God. December 26, 2010. Christmas felt different this year for a few reasons. I am used to white Christmases and brown Christmases (ie. no snow but everything is dead) but not green Christmases with rain. It didn't feel much like Christmas until today when my friends and I went up Cypress Mountain and it was snowing up top. December 23, 2010. December 19, 2010. Because we all need a good laugh once in awhile. December 17, 2010. We arrived at the bord...

Running with Perseverance: November 2010
http://runningwithperseverence.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
A lifelong adventure of going far, wide, and deep with God. November 22, 2010. I'm back. From Haiti that is. I arrived in Vancouver around noon yesterday welcomed by the frigid but fresh, crisp air of winter and beautiful snow on the ground. Love it. My roommates whom I went to Haiti with think I'm crazy. Perhaps I am. Anyway, here are some tidbits of what's running through my brain. If I make the time, I will post more on some of these thoughts. You know the saying, "Old habits die hard"? There are time...

Running with Perseverance: October 2010
http://runningwithperseverence.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
A lifelong adventure of going far, wide, and deep with God. October 28, 2010. So, in a mere 8 days I will be boarding a plane off to Haiti once more for a medical missions trip. I'll pretty much be doing the same thing as last time but there are a few key differences when compared to the last trip:. 1 I'll be going as a graduate nurse rather than a student. 2 I'll be staying for a longer period of time (16 days vs 10 days). 4 We'll be staying in Carrefour. A small community about an hour north of Port-au...

Running with Perseverance: Random Thoughts #5
http://runningwithperseverence.blogspot.com/2011/06/random-thoughts-5.html
A lifelong adventure of going far, wide, and deep with God. June 27, 2011. No posts in over a month? Wow, where have I been? Truth is I just haven't had the energy nor motivation to blog. I haven't been writing too much in my journal either. Maybe I'm in a no-writing phase of my life right now. I've been working as a nurse for 5 months now and I still shake my head whenever I write my designation beside my signature (ie. RN = registered nurse). Really? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). All musings and ...

Running with Perseverance: May 2011
http://runningwithperseverence.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
A lifelong adventure of going far, wide, and deep with God. May 19, 2011. I feel like I lost a part of myself in the last 2 years while I was in school. It's as if Chaos and Stress stole something small but intensely valuable and without it I feel fragmented. I can't quite explain what it is exactly that I've lost - I just know it's gone. Or maybe it's just hidden under the mess. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A quick character sketch. View my complete profile. Snippets of days gone by. All musings and expr...

Running with Perseverance: February 2011
http://runningwithperseverence.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
A lifelong adventure of going far, wide, and deep with God. February 9, 2011. Some things I'm learning:. Everything is overwhelming and at times shocking at first, even if you've mentally prepared yourself for it. For example, I went through my first Code Blue. Last Friday. My patient actually went through 2 Code Blues within an hour of each other. Fortunately I was not alone and had lots and lots of help in handling the situation. And also the great experience that is refining me as a nurse. DeviantART ...

Running with Perseverance: August 2010
http://runningwithperseverence.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
A lifelong adventure of going far, wide, and deep with God. August 23, 2010. A long and overdue summer update. It's been awhile, at least 2 months since I've last posted anything. It's not that I haven't had time. probably more that I haven't made the time. Or, I am too tired to blog. Anyway, I thought maybe I should write something, a "little" update if you will, on the happenings as of late. 2 Finished my program on August 7. Finally, after 20 months of intensity I can let out a sigh of relief. 7 I'm 9...
