While NVMR exists as an independent incorporated group it operates under the auspices of the WA State Government Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES). Part of its operational activity and capital purchases are funded by DFES. The remainder of the funding comes from fundraising, community donations and membership fees.

Logging an emergency marine call. Welcome to Naturaliste Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR631). Covering the area of Cape Naturaliste, Naturaliste VMR is based out of our operations building alongside Quindalup boat ramp. T not a manned centre, we operate a 24/7 on call response, with 3 vessels and an incident co-ordination room. Training nights are Thursdays at 1600 and we welcome anyone interested in becoming a volunteer with our group.
