Keeping you up to date on our interactions with wildlife here in the Queen Charlotte Sound/. Keep up to date on Google. Sunday, April 8, 2012. A chance to get close to White Rocks and a good chance to scout a place to get close enough to photograph these bird without disturbing them. I took these photos from 100meters away and the tide out there was horrendous with eddies popping up all around the rocks making my plan to photograph from a kayak a little less sound. Very glad i got out to get a closer look.

Mike and Susan's kiwi home-swapping adventure! Marlborough Sounds Tour (Oct 29). After our previous visit to Picton we knew we wanted to return to Marlborough Sounds and get out on the water on a wildlife tour or on a water taxi to a hiking destination. During our recent trip with Leigh and Christine they both spoke highly of their recent experience with Dolphin Watch Ecotours. For larger images with captions. Mike was especially keen to see King Shags on the trip. King Shags are a rare shag (cormora...
