Friday, July 20, 2012. Elephants, Elephants, ELEPHANTS! This past week has been one of the best weeks of my life. Lets be honest, the sole reason I came to Africa was to play with elephants. Finally, that's pretty much all we did this week. I'll go ahead and apologize early for my obsessing. Addison showed me the video of the elephants walking past us he had taken set to some music from the Lion King and I lost it and started sobbing. Seriously, one of the coolest things I've ever gotten to witness.

They weren't elephants, but we got to see several of the animals on my 5 favorite animals list (FYI- 1. ELEPHANTS 2. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. First Official Day of Class. It's 8 in the evening here in Port Elizabeth. Today was our first day of environmental lectures! We have been studying for our respective tests now. Yes, I have finally pulled out my GRE stuff and have been studying. Tomorrow we have our last day of class and I think it may last from 8:30 in the morning to 5:00 in the evening. On monday we leave for a week long trip to the Karoo! Yes, that's Zebra fecal matter. Sunday, July 1, 2012. A Week in Africa. We have been having some issues getting on the internet lately so we haven't been able to get on and update y'all about our adventures! Today, we are going to try and study again! We leave for Karoo at 8:30 tomorrow morning. We won't have internet access and it sounds like we won't have cell phone reception. I'll see if we can use the phone at the farm to try and get in touch with our parents and let you know that we are safely there. We miss you all and love y'all!
