On February 14, 1946 John Mauchly and John Eckert revealed to the public the world's firsts programable computer the ENIAC. Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer or ENIAC for short. It was financed by the US Army as a way of calculating artillery-firing tables. This technology was used because it was much faster and more accurate than other analyzers for computing.

Charles Babbage, was born in England in December 1791, he is considered the "father of computers". A brillaint scientist who dabbled in many different inventions. He is best known for the Difference Engine No.1. Along with viewing the video below.
Transistor

The name "Transistor" was derived from a combination of words, which were TRANSconductance. Developed in AT&T's Bell Labs by John Bardeen,William Shockley, and Walter Brattain. These three scientist moved away from vacuum tubes to achieve the following benfits with the use of Transistors:. 1 Smaller Computers, that take up less physical space. 2 Computers that produce less heat. 3 Computers that produce less electricty. 4 Cheaper and more reliable.

All the transistors work with one another to write and execute a wide variety of functions. Intel Pentium, Power PC, K6, and Spara are some of the brands of the a microprocessor. A microprocessors capability to perform complex calculation and tasks allow it to be installed in most of todays electronics.

What and who is Naunehal? The Naunehal Development Organisation (NDO) is a grass-roots, community based organisation that has been working in the valley of Nagar, Gilgit District Northern Areas since the early eighties. NDO has established co-education schools, a hospital and a women's centre. The organisation is structured with 37 members, from which a board of 14 people are drawn. The board elects the Chairperson on an annual basis. The Nagar Valley is situated in the mountainous Hindu Kush ranges.
