In 1979, he left OMC and started his own company, ATS (Americas Trade and Supply) with two former OMC employees in Miami specializing in customized purchasing for overseas accounts, as well as freight consolidation and forwarding. In 1990, after selling his interest in ATS he entered the restaurant business in Naples, Florida. Today, 25 years later his two restaurants, The Old Naples Pub and The Village Pub are both considered gems by both the locals and tourists.
