Navigating the Rutz
http://navigatingtherutz.blogspot.com/2013/02/monogrammed-pumpkins-i-love-halloween.html
Learning how to navigate the "Rutz" of life's winding road. Monday, February 25, 2013. I LOVE Halloween. Seriously. I don't know what it is about the holiday but I adore the pumpkins, cauldrons, witches, spiders and everything ghoulish about it! My sister and her husband recently purchased a new home. So I decided to try out my plan for a monogrammed pumpkin as a housewarming gift for them. If it failed miserably then they would never have to know! 2 On the computer, print out the letter of choice in a f...

Learning how to navigate the "Rutz" of life's winding road. Monday, August 12, 2013. On a rare occasion, my mother and craft partner in crime, comes to ME with an idea for a project. This time she wanted my help with transforming my nephew's room into a cool sports room for his birthday as a surprise gift. Who can resist a little HGTV transformation inspiration? We painted three walls with a taupe shade and the feature wall in orange. (See specific colors listed below.). I was able to roll the glossy bla...
Navigating the Rutz: Obsessing Over Initials
http://navigatingtherutz.blogspot.com/2013/11/obsessing-over-initials.html
Learning how to navigate the "Rutz" of life's winding road. Wednesday, November 13, 2013. I have been completely sucked into the monogram and/or initial craze that seems to be splattered over every catalog. Our names plastered in various colors and styles in every single room shown in top notch style magazines. I totally bought into it. We have this weird wall just above our hall closet in our entry way. For years I have had a picture of Paris leaning up against the wall (remember that craze? I found the...

Learning how to navigate the "Rutz" of life's winding road. Friday, July 27, 2012. It Took a Village. With the success of my first blog (many thanks for the love), my husband suggested my second entry share our story of infertility. While we held our troubles close to home in the beginning, we found that sharing our story gleaned us tremendous support and eventually helped others in their struggle. So, away we go. After much discussion and soul searching, we moved forward with our first IVF cycle. Wh...

Learning how to navigate the "Rutz" of life's winding road. Wednesday, November 13, 2013. The first challenge was finding crafts that wouldn't take too long because I was trying to squeeze three crafts, socializing, and eating into a few hours. I also needed crafts that wouldn't make a big mess. Lastly, I wanted crafts that would use some materials our group already has on hand. Sounds easy, right? The first craft I had been dying to do was make jewelry! Who doesn't like jewelry? I gave all the warnings ...

Life with the Schneiders. Monday, January 21, 2013. Addie was a trooper once again, for she did not feel well after we arrived at the lake. Life with the Schneiders. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Goin' Back to Cali.to Cali. Ok, so the title of this post isn't quite right, for I had never been to California before last week, but it is a title of a song that I had in my head up from wheels up to wheels down back in Indy (and ever since), so that warrants itself to be the perfect post title. The conference itself was great, and we all came out of it with new ideas. San Diego was unbelievable! We also visited Terre-fic Haute in order to cap off a grea...

The following guest post is from Kevin Brookshire, a Recreation Ministry Leader and Fitness Enthusiast. One of the greatest misconceptions is that if you lift weights you will instantly get huge and look like a professional body builder - male or female. The thing missed is that resistance training, lifting weights, is one of the greatest ways to slim down and burn fat. I often feel as ...
