Sahayata Home Care Nursing School. To meet this challenge, The Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town has proposed to start a fully charitable school, Sahayata Home Care Nursing School. At Sahayata, youth from economically backward families will be given free education and vocational training, gainfully employed and elevated to respected level in community. And with the availability of trained Home Care Nurses, the absence of care to elders at home will be resolved and help in keeping families together.

DG Rtn Ganesh Bhat visited the signature project of the Club Sahayata- Home Care Nursing School at Rugnashraya. He was shown all the amenities that the club had provided and introduced to the students as well as the administrator and warden. During the course of the day, DG said that he was very happy with the Sahayata project and addressed the project as Next to God .

Trash to Cash

In association with Alpha Mindz, Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town organized a Trash to Cash Competition for the schools in Goa on 26th January 2015 at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias. The first round of the same was completed on Saturday 17th January. The Best Participants from each school were selected to compete in the final round. All participants competing on the 26th were given a participation certificate and gift vouchers from Alpha Mindz. Group 1 - (Class 1 and 2). Group 2 - (Class 3 and 4).

Boat Cruise for elders and special children. A River Cruise was organized aboard the Paradise Cruise sailing along the scenic Mandovi River. This day will be remembered for a lifetime by the 35 senior citizens from Sneha Mandir at Kavlem and 180 Special Children from Lok Vishwas Pratisthan at Dhavali. The cruise was courtesy Rtn Annand Madgavkar. The Senior Citizens and Special Children expressed immense satisfaction at the HAPPY MOMENTS spent with Rotarians and thanked the club for this initiative.

Education Grants is one of our Flagship Project and under this project we handed over Grants to 11 deserving students this Rotary year 2014-15. These students were recommended by their respective colleges and were selected on the basis of merit by the committee. A total of Rs. 1,38,500/- was disbursed while making a total Commitment for Rs. 7,01,000/- to ensure that these Rotary Scholars are supported upto their final graduation. Rotary Orator of Goa

Rotory Orator of Goa. The Club organized their prestigious Rotary Orator of Goa 2015 Contest on 24th January 2015. 25 children from schools all over Goa participated in the lively and qualitative informative presentations. The topic for the contest was Swachh Bharat - Are we on track? An eminent panel of jury consisting of trainers Ms Andrea Velho, Ms Glaffy Castellino and Ms Cheryl Patel judged the contest. The jury had a tough time in judging the event.
