Erin Across the Pond: February 2009
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Erin Across the Pond. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Well, well, well. It would appear that I've gone nearly the entirety of February without posting anything. Many apologies for that, and I intend to rectify things in March. In the meantime, a quick bit about the goings-on of the last few weeks. Last Tuesday was Mardi Gras, or as they call it here- Pancake Day! It was a computer simulation designed to measure gambling habits and subliminal messaging. I don't FEEL brainwashed. As for my classes, I'm slowly...

Erin Across the Pond: Easter
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2009/04/easter.html
Erin Across the Pond. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Easter Sunday was a lovely, quiet day here. I went to the Canterbury Cathedral for one of their evening services, and it was really nice. There were only about 80 people at the service I went to, but judging by what the priest said, the morning service was very, very crowded (as I expected). It was very low-key, but I did get to hear the organ play! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Eat, Sleep, Kids. Llama llama llama llama!

Erin Across the Pond: Finished!
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2009/05/finished.html
Erin Across the Pond. Sunday, May 31, 2009. I'm officially finished with all my schoolwork here in England! I took my exam this past Thursday, and I'm happy to say that I think it went well. It was a little strange taking an exam for a class I'd finished six months before, but I guess doing new things is what this year has all been about. I've only got 18 more days here, so I'm trying to make them count! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Eat, Sleep, Kids. On the Road Again.

Erin Across the Pond: March 2009
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Erin Across the Pond. Tuesday, March 24, 2009. St Patrick's Day and Other Amusements. My friend Dez came and visited me this past week. We totally had a blast! Tuesday was St. Patrick's Day, so of course we had to celebrate. We went to Rutherford Bar where they had all kinds of Irish-themed craziness like Guiness-shaped hats and Irish dancers. It was super fun! On Wednesday we went to Dover, which was completely awesome. We climbed two mountains that day! Saturday, March 14, 2009. The girls and I went ou...

Erin Across the Pond: November 2008
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Erin Across the Pond. Saturday, November 29, 2008. Turkey Day, Take Two. Our flat had our Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. It went really great! Thursday, November 27, 2008. Happy Turkey Day, everybody! As Thanksgiving is not a British holiday, I still had class today. Afterward, though, I went out with my flatmates and we bought all the supplies we'll need for tomorrow's post-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving dinner. It's going to be great! Sunday, November 23, 2008. Wednesday, November 19, 2008. I know it's stil...

http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2009/05/on-road-again.html
Erin Across the Pond. Monday, May 11, 2009. On the Road Again. Well, I've just turned in my 18-page paper for my Roman and Medieval Artifacts class, and now I'm packing for a week and a half long trip to Ireland and Spain! My friend Ginnie and I are going to spend 3 days in Dublin and 4 days in Barcelona. So expect lots and lots of pictures when I get back! Hopefully I'll be able to post updates along the way as well. Erin Across the Pond: December 2008
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Erin Across the Pond. Monday, December 29, 2008. Well, there's not terribly much to report, but I just wanted to check in. I've mostly been in Kingston, taking long rambling walks and discovering all the cool little side streets and things. Last night I saw a group of swans (what's the technical term for a group of swans? Floating down the river, which was really cute. And a few nights ago there was a fox out in the parking lot. Here are the ones I took in London on Christmas Eve. Sorry for the massive d...

Erin Across the Pond: June 2009
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Erin Across the Pond. Monday, June 15, 2009. Now that (mostly) everyone's exams are over, Kent had a lovely little party this weekend. There was music, dancing, fireworks, and even fire-breathing! I went with a group of friends for the afternoon, and we all had a great time. We spread a picnic blanket on the grass and spent a nice, relaxing afternoon in the sun. I'm especially glad I stayed for the fireworks, because they were really neat. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Erin Across the Pond: October 2008
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Erin Across the Pond. Friday, October 31, 2008. Happy Halloween, everybody! Well, I'm off to London in the morning so I should get some sleep. Good night! Wednesday, October 29, 2008. I just finished reading Fahrenheit 451. It was really good, very thought-provoking. And definitely much easier to understand than the Aristotle and Galen that I've got to read for class. Sunday, October 26, 2008. That's a big chunk of time, especially considering we only meet once a week for 12 weeks. No new pictures today,...

Erin Across the Pond: January 2009
http://erinacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Erin Across the Pond. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. I was in town with Helen the other day, and she came across this fantastic comic in a shop. I couldn't resist. Superheroes support Obama too! Monday, January 26, 2009. Mike and Alyssa's Visit. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday we spent in Oxford, and man was it fun! And on Tuesday we watched the presidential inauguration on TV. It was super fun, even if there was a collective horrified gasp when the oath went a bit.differently. Mike and Alyssas Visit. On Mo...
