Sunday, 21 October 2012. 11 weeks - Warwick to Stratford, Droitwich, Stourport, back to Braunston! When I last wrote in the blog on 28 July I had hoped to keep it going whilst I had visitors - but it didn't work out! My aim is to get to somewhere near Warwick where I have ex-boating friends joining me before I go down to Stratford - and yet more company/crew! Thursday, 8 November 2012. Napton, Fenny Compton and back to Braunston. I knew it was the right way as I had kept seeing footprints in the thick mud! Sunday 14 - I went on round Napton Hill and up 1 lock where I could get a reasonable broadband signal. Monday - I got buses to Daventry and then Braunston to retrieve the car. Saturday, 26 May 2012. Weather just keeps getting better! On Tuesday 15 May set off in blustery showers. Unusually, no boats moored at Queens Head but I will stop on way back. Continued through 3 Aston locks and then on to Maesbury and moored outside the cafe a few hundred yards beyond - am not turning until wind drops! Saturday 14 April - Left Hampton Bank and cruised less than 2 miles (that's what I like about this canal - so many lovely places to stop) and moored at Colemere - with a fabulous view of the lake on a beautiful day and in the sun, as no leaves on the trees yet (see new picture! Thursday, 13 June 2013. After 6 locks I reached the top - just as it started to drizzle. 3 wet miles on I reached Cowroast and moored up - just as the rain stopped! Friday I set off with nb Tom Kitten, another nice couple (Debbie and Ken? Taking their boat back to Harefield. Debbie loves to walk and work locks so we made very good progress again. After 6 locks, at 11.30 we both moored o/s Hemel Hemstead Sainsbury's, they then set off but I moored the otherside just above next lock - busy here! To Homebas...

Thursday: not a good day. Round the pond and then down to town and bus to Retford (after buying the Corned Beef salad sarnie, of course).
