The Build of Narrowboat Oleanna. Thursday, 6 August 2015. Meeting 1 Sheffield 6th August. Today we have headed from Marple on the train to Jonathan Wilson's boatyard in Sheffield. Ken and Julia founded Fernwood Boats and built 90 bespoke boats until they sold the business a few years ago. We don't want to avoid these locks, so an extra 2ft is not an option, but we can manage an extra 6 inches. Going bes...

http://www.oleanna.co.uk/2016_01_01_archive.html
The Build of Narrowboat Oleanna. Thursday, 28 January 2016. The last couple of days have been spent updating plans to Version N. With the layout plan updated I finished off the port and starboard internal elevations, positioning the windows as I went. I then did an external elevation of both sides just to check that the positions looked well spaced and they do. Houdini was concerned at the size of her cat flap on the original model. We will still have feline access, just need a new ships cat. The other b...

NB Oleanna: Name and Number
http://www.oleanna.co.uk/2016/11/name-and-number.html
The Build of Narrowboat Oleanna. Wednesday, 30 November 2016. We were in Sheffield very early today so that we could meet up with Andy Russell the sign writer. Andy had arrived before us and was starting to mark out Oleanna's name on the cabin side in china graph. The pictures of my model had been printed out for him.
