Monday, 15 July 2013. Woodseaves Cuttings and a pub with no beer! Busy flight of locks as everyone moving early before day got too hot. Much of the Shoppie here is either in a deep rock cutting or on top of an embankment. The scenery is fantastic. The cuttings make for interesting boating as they tend to be rather narrow. Tall bridge in Woodseaves Cutting. Back to TM and a bottle of Gordon's was cracked open - the rest is history as they say but a very pleasant chatty evening ensued. Sunday, 14 July 2013.

Thursday, 16 May 2013. The Cobb is dead. Long live the Webber! The Cobb has its advantages, you can cook on the roof of the boat as the outside does not get hot. I have come to the conclusion that the reason the outside goes not get hot is because the inside does not get very hot. The Cobb is now redundant, which is a great shame as the bloody thing was very expensive! The Webber is a standard kettle BBQ with short legs so I should have no problem with this. Thursday, 25 June 2015. Forgot to mention re the Rising Sun pub yesterday: owner and staff recognised not just us but also Spot. All made a huge fuss of her but, having traversed the 12 locks, she made a vain effort to be friendly but eventually scrambled under a table out of the reach of everyone for a well earned rest - not quite antisocial but exhausted and in need of peace and quiet.
