Life with the Lords: There's 180 days of home school...
http://thelordfamily.blogspot.com/2012/07/theres-180-days-of-home-school.html
Tuesday, July 31, 2012. There's 180 days of home school. Yeah, I tried to go with the Phineas and Ferb theme song.and it didn't really work. But, I will say that home school is sometimes like P&F.where I am Dofenshmirtz and I trap Perry (a.k.a. my students) in some sort of ineffective trap in order to fill their young brains with knowledge. Hmm, maybe the analogy really isn't getting anywhere. I know that every day can't be "fun," but I want us to be able to enjoy it most of the time. I got out my x-acto...

Life with the Lords: February 2012
http://thelordfamily.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 13, 2012. Look around, leaves are brown. And and and.could the sky possibly be a hazy shade of winter? I know I'm glued to trying to discern the meaning of meteorological models that I have no grasp of understanding. In the hopes.oh the hopes.of winter. I have several posts that I need to make from our Disney adventure- scrapbook pages and race reports. But, I feel like I can't do those race reports before I do the other two races that I did in May and October. Btw, that is not. Well 2 t...

Robin’s Readings | Chosen

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit fruit that will last. John 15:16a. January 22, 2010. Give me a good book and I will abandon any activity that is not essential to life, including sleep. I read every book in my junior high library with the exception of cheap romance novels. By late February of my 8th grade year, the librarian had to get permission to send me to the high school library (next door) because there was nothing worth reading left in our library.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit fruit that will last. John 15:16a. April 12, 2010. I have been silent W-A-Y long. I had to take a blog break. When things are so busy that I am falling behind in necessary things, something unnecessary must go…i.e. blogging (amongst other things). As instructed in one of the devotions. Ephesians 5:20a: “always giving thanks to God the Father for EVERYTHING”. There are many ways to apply EVERYTHING. One example,: it could me...

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit fruit that will last. John 15:16a. September 20, 2011. New Directions and the MCF. One year, one month and four days ago the Lord sent me back to work full-time. That does not sound right, does it? God sending a stay-at-home, part-time church staff employee back to a secular, full-time job? Did I mention that I married Mr. Picky? Did I mention that Mr. Picky and I begat Super Picky Son? He does not eat mixed foods (like cassero...

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit fruit that will last. John 15:16a. September 27, 2014. Ham n Cheddar Breakfast Casserole. Breakfast casseroles often seem unappealing to me. I like eggs and the things that go in them, but sometimes casseroles are just too mushy for me to eat them in the morning. This recipe was based off this one: Ham-n-Swiss Breakfast Pie. Butter, 2 TBSP, melted. 1 1/4 cup milk. Garlic, 1-2 cloves crushed. Chicken Broth, 1/2 cup. Milk, 3/4 cup.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit fruit that will last. John 15:16a. July 6, 2013. My kitchen grout has been dirty since, well a month after we moved into our newly built home. I have tried every cleaner made and a few concoctions and a steam cleaner…all to NO avail. In addition to dark brown stains, I had also accumulated some batter or something that no amount of cleaner or butter knives could budge from the grout. Yuck. 1/2 cup baking soda. Life with the Lords: An Unexpected Run
http://thelordfamily.blogspot.com/2014/08/an-unexpected-run.html
Sunday, August 10, 2014. A post about how a long run turned into a teachable moment. Last week's ten mile run was rain delayed- torrential downpour led to slippery trails, so I concluded the run at 5 miles and then finished the remaining 5 on Sunday. Not as planned, but it works. This weekend was looking to be a repeat, weather wise, of last week. I set out Saturday afternoon to complete 12 miles. Why are you doing this? Who do you think you are? In the last week, I've had two reminders of how fleeting l...
