FOUNDRY TURF CARE DEPARTMENT. Thursday, August 14, 2014. Bunker Repairs and Topdressing. Tuesday we received some heavy rains in Powhatan totally 3.25 inches in about 2 hours. This was a much needed rain however the force of the rain caused some minor washouts in the bunkers. Here are some pictures of the staff doing repairs to the slopes. FOUNDRY TURF CARE DEPARTMENT. Thursday, April 16, 2015. Greens were deep tined with a verti-drain machine to a depth of 12 inches. The wid tine penetrates the soil while providing a a back kick once it enters the soil. This allows the soil to loosen and provide more air space and reduce compaction.
