Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Oh This One. It's funny how little I accurately predicted about Evie when she was born. I had her pegged as a soft, gentle, quiet little lady. In reality, our newly-two year old is as fiery as they come. I love her sweet sass and nutty personality. Playing in water has been #1 on your list lately. It's the fastest way to get you out of a crabby mood, and you could sit and pour water and splash for hours. We gave you a little backpack for your birthday, and suddenly you look too big!

Tuesday, April 22, 2014. This last weekend, we passed the "anxiety day" as my doctor calls it. 22 weeks, six days. The day I delivered Celeste. And I thought it would be hard, but instead it was sweet. It was sweet for me to know that the baby growing in my belly is just the size Celeste was when she laid on my chest last February. I know that the little baby in my belly has teeny tiny fingernails. And fine little hairs tracing its head. Tiny arms and hands no bigger than my finger. Friday, April 11, 2014.

Tuesday, August 19, 2014. I blinked my eyes. All I did was blink and this happened. Isn't that what childhood is? My sweet Sophia. She delights in knowing that her name means wisdom. As her mother, I hope and pray that as she grows, that name will suit her well. That she will receive the gifts of the holy spirit and truly use that wisdom that she inherently has. For now, she is still little. Thank you Jesus that I can still call her little! My little kindergarten girl. My little flower.

Saturday, March 29, 2014. Have you ever had a moment that you feel like you can't get through? An emotion that you can't deal with? When it feels like you need a strength bigger than your own to survive? It happened to me yesterday. So yesterday I overslept due to my extreme sleep deprivation from a fussy 5 month old. I woke Sophia up for preschool and rushed her out the door. I arrived, only to realize I hadn't brushed the tangles out of her hair, and she had breakfast all over her face. I can't do this!

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Keepin' It Real: Workin' Too Much. Linking up with Corinna over at Track 8. For this week's installment of Keepin' It Real Mondays. I saw my baby for a total of 45 minutes today. NOT. ENOUGH. Working is the worst sometimes. Today I was stuck at work for an extra hour and a half- the hour and a half that I normally spend with Emmett before he goes to bed. It was a hard, sad day for both of us. That's real life for me today y'all. I promise a more upbeat post later in the week!
