Thursday, December 25, 2014. A few weeks ago my friend Emily took on the difficult task of getting good Christmas portraits of my squirmy children. It was a whirlwind 30 minute mini-session in which Emily not only managed to get fabulous photos of the kids, but she also got some good family and couple shots as well. I am very pleased by how these turned out—so I posted a few of my favorites (it was really really. Hard to pare it down even this much). Merry Christmas to all! It has been a good holiday.

Friday, July 10, 2015. Trains, Tigers, and Pups. We have lived here long enough to have several annual traditions- like taking advantage of the father's day weekend promotion at the railway museum and spending that same Saturday evening at the park district's Strawberry Jam. I think this was our third time riding the vintage diesel engine and it was still fun. One of my favorite aspects of this adventure is climbing around and exploring all of the antique trains. So I had to keep these Sillies entertained.

Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Baked and decorated gingerbread men. It was a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. Picked out and trimmed our lovely Christmas tree (and put the ornaments back again, and again, and again until we got tired of redecorating and left the bottom half of the tree bare). Babysat.
