Just a quick word to say we made it safe and sound (albeit after 13 hours of flying and more that 30 hours without sleep) in Tokyo. Only been here 1 day but it's already left an impression (even the toilets are weird! And cant wait to get out and explore some more. Will post an update with some photos later this week.

Gran and Gramps Byington. Thursday, June 18, 2009. Rain, Rain, Rain! I feel like I am in Oregon! We have had rain for 3 weeks, and I mean RAIN! Though I am really a "Sun" person, I must admit the rain has made everything. I go out on our porch and breath in the clean, clear air and look all around me and everything is lush and green and colorful. I am grateful for the moisture.and I do appreciate that many of these days we get a few hours of clearing and sun innermixed with the rain. Krista and Jon Carrol.
