Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Dan is a rock star and puts the little people to bed EVERY night. Some nights when they go up, I breathe a sigh of relief, feeling proud we all made it through and had a few laughs a long the way. We have been trying to help Micah poop in the potty (he did, after all state it as his 2013 goal). Silas tried his hand at potty training too. Privacy people! He makes me laugh. A LOT! Sunday, February 3, 2013. Global warming, nothing! It's crazy cold here. The kids are enjoying the snow, though. They got some new shovels yesterday, but might be a bit confused about where to shovel. I always think they are super cute out there! Silas wins the "dweeby-ist" picture award. Monday, January 28, 2013. 5 of the 7 of us had dentist appointments today. Needless to say, we kind of invade the place. The kids love the dentist and the cheap, little toys they get after their cleaning. Sophie and Silas had about 100 questions about everything around. Silas' 100 were really just the same question over and over. "What is that? Sophie had some more complicated ones, such as "Richard (our favorite hygienist), did I get bubble gum or cotton candy tooth paste last time? The oldest Neal boy.

Thursday, April 19, 2012. Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls. This is a delicious and nutritious recipe from The Mouro family. That is a staple around here. it's my "go-to" snack w/ a glass of milk and some fresh fruit! And it's not just my kiddos that like it ;). 3/4 c dry milk powder. 3/4 c whole oats. 1/2 c peanut butter (I use crunchy). 1/4 c dried fruit- raisins, dried apricots, chopped, dates, cranberries, etc. (I OMIT). 1-2 T wheat germ (I use 1). 1-2 T flax seed (I use 2). 1/4 c sunflower seeds (I OMIT).
