And every once in a while someone would be burning their small pile of garbage on the side of the road. I like the smell of the smoke, it’s unobtrusive. I like driving through the stray smoke that drifts across the road, because it only takes a second, and then you’re free of it and you feel like you’re seeing the world again for the first time.
