Tim & Margo: January 2012
http://timandmargo.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. The trees get smaller and smaller. Christmas is Christmas, as long as there's a tree, right? Well, with a busy December we almost completely forwent a tree this year, but Christmas cheer prevailed and late in the month Tiny Tim (the tree) was purchased in the local Christmas tree lot. He was so small, he didn't even need to be watered. Better yet, he only needed one strand of lights and 10 ornaments. Antique ornaments on our tree, slightly reminiscent of a meteor striking the sun.

Tim & Margo: August 2011
http://timandmargo.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. This is the only city we visited that I hadn't been to before, so it was awesome for both Margo and I to discover on our own. Overall, we really loved Kyiv. Everything we saw was very clean and well maintained. Once again, the Russian (or Ukrainians) know how to build a good monument. The motherland statue is amazing, the metallic version of the stone statue we saw back in Volgograd. A highlight of Kyiv was visiting the Temple. It was dedicated just last August.

Tim & Margo: August 2012
http://timandmargo.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 12, 2012. I remember seeing a picture of St. Paul's in elementary school and thinking, "Hey, they copied our state capitol building! Meaning the one in Washington DC). Good thing no one burst my bubble that St. Paul's is actually the original. To me the dome stills seems a little odd that it's on a church, since it's so similar to many state capitol building in the US. It's a pretty amazing church though. Can't beat the view from the top. 528 steps. Thursday, August 9, 2012. The Arnolfini ...

Tim & Margo: Picnic in the Park
http://timandmargo.blogspot.com/2012/08/picnic-in-park.html
Sunday, August 5, 2012. Picnic in the Park. It's been fun watching the Olympics and reliving some of the places we enjoyed in London. Hyde Park is truly one of the best metropolitan area parks that we've ever been to. After attending church at the Hyde Park Chapel, we spent the afternoon eating, riding bikes, napping, people watching, and enjoying the scenery of the park. On a Sunday afternoon there are literally thousands people there. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Picnic in the Park.

Tim & Margo: Pieces of Pompeii
http://timandmargo.blogspot.com/2012/10/pieces-of-pompeii.html
Tuesday, October 16, 2012. I was struck with a sense of wonder looking at the details of Pompeii. Doesn't it make you wonder who stood among those columns and carved every curvature in the stone? Who painted that fresco and laid those bricks? What could each of these objects tell us if they could talk? And then there were the spots that put the two views together.
