As the Wheel Turns: September 2005
http://spinner112.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
As the Wheel Turns. Friday, September 23, 2005. I am not having a good day. Not even a good week, although compared to Katrina and Rita victims I'm well off. I also have survivor guilt. I'm trying, really I am, and it started out well. However I am thinking toward the end of the week I have a sign that says "kick me". Or is that just a big pity party? Hey, it's my blog and I'll whine if I want to, whine if I want to, whine if I want to. old song, nevermind. So then today I'm coming home from work and I s...

Captain Semantics: March 2008
http://captainsemantics.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Complete and detailed description of my plans to take over the world. Tuesday, March 04, 2008. Felis vs. Machina. I have previously mentioned Merlin's Thing about water bottles (i.e. that they Must Be Knocked Over). Apparently, Things With Water Reservoirs falls under the Water Bottle heading. To wit, our humidifier. Ole Merl found out that not only is there a lot of water to play with in there, but if you knock apart the whole thing. There's a soggy papery treat (filter) inside to tear apart and scatter.

Captain Semantics: While the humans are away (in dreamland)
http://captainsemantics.blogspot.com/2008/12/while-humans-are-away-in-dreamland.html
Complete and detailed description of my plans to take over the world. Friday, December 19, 2008. While the humans are away (in dreamland). The cats knock over their toy box and drag every single one. Of their portable toys to right in front of the bedroom door. And knocked over the rocking chair. Translation: See What You Made Us Do? We Were SOOO Bored, We Had To Fend For Ourselves*! The headline style of cat-talking is a reference to some delightful books by Doreen Tovey. Sat Feb 07, 01:51:00 PM CST.

Captain Semantics: April 2008
http://captainsemantics.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Complete and detailed description of my plans to take over the world. Monday, April 28, 2008. Merlin has a New Thing. When I do not dispense with the cuddles in a timely fashion (like, say, 'cause I'm ASLEEP), he pokes me in the eye. Links to this post. Saturday, April 26, 2008. I may or may not have mentioned the kittens' Number One Fan (outside of their nuclear family, of course). Her name is Justine and she's currently in first grade. So when we got the kittens last year (already? And has been stoppin...

The Pregnant Waddle: December 2005
http://thepregnantwaddle.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Pre-Pregnancy Weight Just Around the Corner (It's Trying to Run and Hide). Thursday, December 22, 2005. The growling and the backwards scooching. These are Ngaire's new talents. Put her down on the floor, and you may just look back to see her little head peeking out from under a piece of furniture she's back-scooched beneath. Dangle some toys before her and the soft growling will commence. She has several new nicknames: Ngaire-boo, Ngaire-doodle/noodle/boodle, Boo-Bear (see a pattern here? Wednesday, Dec...

Captain Semantics: Scavenging for Kitties
http://captainsemantics.blogspot.com/2008/11/scavenging-for-kitties.html
Complete and detailed description of my plans to take over the world. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Backstory: Last week I made a lemon cake with coconut frosting for the DH. I had it sealed in an inverted bowl (cake on the lid, the bowl covering the actual cake) on top of the fridge. If I was late.). Bowl cracked to smithereens is anyone's guess, but the lid popped off and a good half of the last piece was now in feline tummies. Thing, he huffed. Which we got Free! Thu Dec 04, 04:30:00 PM CST.

Fun in the Mud: December 2007
http://fun-in-the-mud.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Fun in the Mud. Because you might as well laugh. Friday, December 21, 2007. On attaining pre-pregnancy mass. Last week my wifelet made some homemade biscuits for my work X-mas party. As she was pulling them out of the oven (at around 9:00pm) we had the following conversation:. Wifelet: Do you want one? They smell good, but I’m really not hungry. Wifelet: I know what you mean; my mouth says ‘yes,’ my stomach says ‘no,’ and my hips say ‘what are you thinking you crazy woman.’. Posted by Chris @ 1:54 PM.

I realized that i haven’t updated this for a while. This past week has been a very long week, working at school, coaching volleyball, hanging out with the kids… but so rewarding. I spend my days at school doing random tasks, running errands, buying food, and tutoring Benjie with reading. After school it’s off to Faith to coach… our first game is tomorrow night and unless a miracle happens we will get slaughtered… it’s ok though, it builds character🙂.
