NedKnits - Community Knit. Monday, September 28, 2009. If you would like to knit hats, just a basic hat pattern will do, something soft and warm. I was thinking we could use some kids hats. I would recommend getting a basic hat pattern off the net and there will be help. We are also working on the afghan, so bring in what you have done, or not done! And we can work on that as well. Please check the warm up america web sites for patterns on that. And we welcome any ideas for new projects!

NedKnits - Community Knit. Monday, January 25, 2010. Next meeting Feb 7th. 2-3 is community meeting, then 3-4p is Learn to Knit. I will have more kits for $12. Hats for elementary school age or preschool kids. I am using the worsted weight yarn myself. Neck warmers for seniors. Basically a shorter fatter scarf! NedKnits - Community Knit. Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Missed you all at the last meeting. We are closing in on the giving of the afghan! I pick it up from Barbara tomorrow night. She asked for squares, so if you have any, bring them to the next meeting and we will give them to whomever is willing to put them together. Hats and mittens for Community due in December for clothing drive. I keep leaving my mittens at work where I am steering my co workers into knitting for our community!

Now we are focusing on hats for kids at the Elementary schools and another afghan. This afghan will be in longer strips, to make it look more uniform.
