How much fun is a horse’s tail? – EQUINE Ink
https://equineink.com/2015/08/04/how-much-fun-is-a-horses-tail
My Soapbox for Equestrian Writings. Welcome to Equine Ink. How much fun is a horse’s tail? August 4, 2015. I love this video of the cat in the horse’s tail. It reminds me of my standard Poodle, Merlin. We got him when he was about a year old and he had never seen a horse before. He used to chase after me when I rode and would grab onto my horse’s tail. My instructor used to laugh until tears ran down her face. You know you don’t have a TB when . . . Finally, some cooler weather. This video is super cute.

My Soapbox for Equestrian Writings. Welcome to Equine Ink. Quail, cows and pigs, oh my! August 22, 2016. August 21, 2016. This ride had a few surprises on it — some good (beautiful trails) and some a bit scary (a few new animals). Riding with someone who knows the local trails is a treat. This cute little Morgan has just ended a show career and this was his second time out on the trails. Zelda is so much bigger than he is — we looked like Mutt and Jeff. After we left our tour guide (I wanted to ride a bi...

My Soapbox for Equestrian Writings. Welcome to Equine Ink. Will Feeding Too Much Hay Make My Horse Fat? October 2, 2008. October 2, 2008. Source: http:/ www.igallopon.com. But, even among my fellow co-op boarders, my feeding regime is an anomaly. In addition to the added cost and expense, some owners worry that if they feed too much hay, their horse will get too fat. You know, develop a “hay belly.” However, many nutritionists caution that a hay belly is not the same as body fat. ...8220;A hay belly indi...

Spanish Horses – The Rubber Curry Comb

The Rubber Curry Comb. The Life of a Horse Riding Instructor. August 15, 2015. August 14, 2015. It was a couple of weeks ago now, but I haven`t gotten around to writing about it, that we had a visiting horse and her owner. The mare was Andalusian and on her way to Hartpury for the National Show of Spanish Horses. Whilst she was at the yard she underwent drastic changes to her appearance, which made all the liveries curious. A client once told me that after he`d holidayed in Spain. Https:/ en.wikipedi...

The Rubber Curry Comb. The Life of a Horse Riding Instructor. Matt’s Diary – Week 6. November 4, 2016. November 4, 2016. After my first night in my luxurious stable I was ready to go back to my field. How wrong was I! I did suspect something was amiss when both The Chauffeur and Young Mum were here. I trotted onto the trailer anyway, because excitement was in the air! We travelled for hours. I was beginning to think we were going back to Wales. I had a lovely day grazing, rolling, grazing, and more rolli...

Whiskers – The Rubber Curry Comb
https://therubbercurrycomb.wordpress.com/2015/08/13/whiskers
The Rubber Curry Comb. The Life of a Horse Riding Instructor. August 13, 2015. Recently there’s been a few articles circulating which explain the importance of whiskers on horses. A lot of showing people trim their horses whiskers, as well as every other part of the body, and I remember at the yard at home the trimmers used to do the rounds before a local show, as all the girls’ ponies were smartened up. It was the done thing, and nobody questioned it. Where do I stand on all this trimming malarkey?

The Rubber Curry Comb. The Life of a Horse Riding Instructor. Thinking One Step Ahead. August 14, 2015. I`ve recently starting teaching this young girl who rides a big ex-racer. She manages him very well, even though they aren`t the ideal match in terms of size, but they seem to have clicked. However, they have a bit of an issue with jumping. They knocked it down. And then the horse became worried and began running out. So we rebuilt it slowly, with crosses and then a tiny upright at the end to f...The g...
