March 31, 2013. Happy Easter from the Menagerie! We've taken things down a notch this holiday, and it's been really nice! Yesterday we enjoyed a big dutch oven cook out with my brother Allen and his family. We ate ourselves sick and it was worth every bite! Brisket, cheesy bacon potatoes, peach cobbler, mango carrot cake, asparagus, fresh fruit, it was awesome. In the afternoon we had an easter egg hunt for the kids. It was really fun! Monday, December 28, 2009. I never really thought of myself as a "quilter", but I guess. That's what I've come to be. I started out just making tied baby quilts for my new grand-babies, but since my neighbor of 22 years (who is THE quilting madam) has been mentoring me, I have increased my quilting skill level.
